Red Storm receive commitment from CT player and Top 50 player nationally

After what many people thought would be a recruiting steal for Marist who were thought be in lead, Keylantra Langley a 5-10 point guard from Bridgeport Conn recently committed to St. John’s after her official visit last week.

According to ESPN, Langley, a senior at Laurelton Hall, a class LL runner up last season, also took visits to the aforementioned Marist and James Madison, and cancelled a planned visit to Cincinnati.

In the recent ESPN article she says "I have a great relationship with the head coach and I just got along well with all the girls," Langley said. "I'm excited."

She also stated in the article that "I liked Marist a lot, too," Langley said. "They were probably the front-runner for a while. But just the feeling at St. John's is what I like…they play a more up-tempo game and they're in the Big East, with some of the best competition."

Langley plays AAU for the CT Premier Basketball club which has enabled her to play against the best competition around the country and continue her development as a player. The trademark of her game is her speed which allows her to push in transition and get to the rim and finish.  She is an extremely smart player with a tremendous ability to create for others and shoot the ball at high rate.

She joins Briana Brown a 5-foot-9 guard from Norwalk as the Red Storm's second commitment from the state of Connecticut.
