Babson Showcase - Event Recap

The New England Recruiting report was on hand at Babson College for the Coach Storm September Showcase on Sunday, September 20th
Players who stood out.
Nicole Beresford 6’0, Marshfield HS (MA) – she showed off her athleticism as well as her ability to play inside and out. showed off her strong motor and solid touch from the outside.
Tori Faieta 6’1, St Mary’s (MA) consistently went strong to the basket finished well with either hand, displayed good court presence, rebounded on the offensive end very well, and played solid post defense.
Tori Lehr 6’1, Cohasset HS (MA) athletic post who ran the floor well and was able to play well in space. was able to get good position down low and finished extremely effectively. Has very quick hands.
Lindsey Jones 5’9, Lincoln Sudbury HS (MA) crashed the boards very well from guard position, finished strong, ran floor well and finished on the break, strong on ball presence
Briana Hunt 5’9, Newton North HS (MA) showed very quick first step, consistently was able to get to the lane and finished as well as shot well from outside. solid on ball defender. Great court presence and high basketball IQ was clearly evident.
Deryn Zahoruiko 5’10, Amesbury HS (MA)- moved well without the ball, displayed strong communication on the floor, crashes offensive boards well, great team player, solid on ball and help defender
Nicole Boudreau 5’9 Andover (MA) – known for ability to shoot the 3 but she also did a really nice job getting to the rim and finishing over bigger players.
Tiana Johnson 5‘5,Brockton (MA) – impressed with her ability to handle and create for others, really pushed the ball well and made good decisions.
Elizabeth Belanger 5’10 Acton Boxboro – Used her body very well in traffic and finished well underneath. Can fill it from inside or out.
Other player who caught our eye
• Ashleigh Condon, Hull HS (MA)– good floor leader and very effective passer.
• Danielle Depierro, Tewksbury HS (MA)– good finishing ability, physical with ball and is able to get to the lane effective to create for others.
• Lizzy Trainor, Bishop Fenwick HS (MA) – can shoot ball well and really did a nice job rising into her jumper as well as solid pull up in transition. Strong and quick on both ends.
• Sarah Palazola, Danvers HS (MA) – showed off her athleticism, ability to score in a variety of different ways and was active on both ends of floor.
• Sam Mangano, Winchester HS (MA) – can play both inside and out and showed the ability to fill it from the outside.
• Gabie Polce, Central Catholic (MA) - got to the rim consistently, ran the floor extremely well in transition.
• Kelly Morgan, Hollis Brookline (NH) – was a pest defensively, distributed the ball well especially into the post and rebounded well out of her guard position.
• Bria Tiro, St Mary’s (MA) – she pushed the ball hard, got to the lane was able to consistently get the ball to people in position to score. Made good decisions and went strong to the goal
• Faith Gilbert, Northwest Catholic (CT) - shot the ball well especially from 3 pt range
