Hoop Mountain Fall Showcase - Class of 2010

Hoop Mountain Fall Showcase proved that the class of 2010 that the talent in this year class is solid

 

 

The Hoop Mountain Fall Exposure event at Boston University this past Sunday had nearly 100 on-looking college coaches as 120 of New England’s most talented prospects showcased their talent.

Here a look of those who impressed from the Class of 2010

Laura Pierce, Pinkerton Academy (NH) – saw the floor nicely, created for her teammates, showed nice range from beyond the arc. She moved well without ball to get open looks.  Defensively, rebounded out of her position well and applied strong full count pressure.

Claire Ramonas, Deering (ME) - strong post who consistently attacked and displayed some solid moves around the basket. She was a force on the glass at times and played sound help positioning defensively

Kelly Morgan, Hollis Brookline (NH) - consistently found the open player on drive, showed a nice inside-out dribble and good first step, she especially excelled on the defensive end in terms of ball pressure and help

Carolyn Niedzweicki, Longmeadow (MA) - showed strong moves in the post, moved well without the ball and was able to finish around the rim. Sound post defender and boxed out well.

Abby Young, Greely (ME) - was able to get strong post position, finished with either hand, rebounded and ran the floor well. Moved her feet very well to get good position defensively.

Dana Zahoruiko, Amesbury (MA)  - moved very well without the ball, showed range out to three while hitting several pull-ups in transition, played good help defense, strong rebounder, displayed an ability to play larger players, attacked the ball well.

Alexa Long, Waterford (CT) – really made her mark on the defense end displaying good help position, post defense, and rebounded well.  she was really able to finish down around the basket all day.

Raven Wright-James, Middletown (CT)  showed off her athleticism running the floor and finishing in transition.


Others who played well.

Aly Leonard, Amherst (MA) – showed a great feel for the game, smart player who created very well out of the off guard spot for others.
   
Bre Butler, Sheehan (CT)– good passer, showed incredible hustle and did the little things very well, strong rebounder and good sound defender.

Ashleigh Condon, Hull (MA) – effective floor leader who pushed the ball and created very well for others.

Leah Murphy, Westborough (MA) – good shooter who was able to get to the rim and finish.

Shayna Adams, Sheehan (CT) – shot the ball very well at times throughout the day while hitting a multitude of threes.

Molly Devine, The Prout School (RI) - has good size, showed ability around the basket on both ends of the floor, rebound well and did solid job defending the block.

Tori Lehr, Cohasset (MA) – strong post presence, good athlete who ran and rebounded well. displayed good hands and feet.

Laurie Bonano, East Longmeadow (MA) - saw the floor well especially on the break, got to the lane and was able to create effectively.

Alex Rurycz, Barnstable (MA) -  shot the ball well and was able to get to the rim and finish
