New England Recruiting report
Huge night for Ball
Manchester Essex (10-12) traveled to top-seeded Pope John (17-4) and controlled the tempo from start to finish with an impressive 58-41 victory. Up next, they'll go to Minuteman (14-7) on Saturday night (7 p.m.), who held off Essex Aggie 58-54 in overtime last night.
It was the Hornets' sixth win in a row and while it was a total team effort in every sense of the word, star junior point guard Lizzy Ball had quite possibly her best game ever for Manchester Essex which is saying something considering she's notched 994 career points.
Ball flirted with a triple double and wasn't even that far off from a quadruple double as she had a game-high 30 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists and seven steals.
