Hoop Mountain will hold their annual New England Spring Classic on Sunday at Boston University
The Hoop Mountain New England Spring Classic has long been known as the region’s premier college showcase for college exposure. Annually drawing close to 100 college coaches, the Spring Classic is a must attend event for unsigned seniors while also a good opportunity for talented underclassmen to show their skills.
Here is a brief sample of some of the players who will be in action on Sunday morning: Casey Smith 6’2” Danbury; Julia Frankian 5’8” Millbury; Kendall Burton 5’9” Newton South; Deryn Zahoruiko 5’9” Amesbury; Kelsey Johnson 5’5 Old Rochester; Kerry White 5’9” Salem, NH; Sophie Bikofsky 5’11.5 Newton South; Taylor Flood 5’8” Sanford, ME; Brooke Stewart 5’10 Masconomet; Savannah Butterfield 5’10” Londonderry; Sam Brenner 6’3” New Hampton; Amy Pelletier 5’6” Bishop Fenwick; Briana Hunt 5’8 Newton North; Daisy Jordan 6’0” Beaver Country Day; Maggie Brown 6’0 Wilmington; Jane White 5’4 Souhegan; Ashley Clough 5’10 Keene; Blake Underhill 5’6” Ashland; Hannah Foley 5’11” Acton Boxborough; Kristen Hrubowski 5’7 Campbell’
The showcase consists of round robin “mini” games, a brief discussion concerning updates on NCAA revised eligibility standards, and 3 on 3 workouts for coaches observations. In addition to the college coaches, numerous prep school coaches will be present to answer any questions from parents and to observe senior high student athletes for placement for next year.
