Hoop Mountain Spring Classic - Upperclassmen Review

The Hoop Mountain Spring Classic featured over 100 college prospects and close to 75 onlooking college coaches.
There was unquestionably tremendous talent was on display Sunday morning at Boston University. Those with hype lived up to expectation and a number of players may have played themself into a scholarship.
Upperclassmen Review
Emily Belowich, Beaver Country Day - long range shooter
Nyah Berg, Lincoln Sudbury - athletic wing who was able to score inside on drives and out with a good mid range game
Alison Berman, Hopkins - strong on the defensive end - took a number of charges, shot the ball very well, and got the rim very well on drives
Sophie Bikofsky, Newton South - solid shooter who rose into shot, gives up body on screens to create for others and herself, good rebounder, physical, moves well without the ball
Sara Binkhorst, Hall - saw court well and made some wonderful passes, great attitude, 3 pt shooter, good handle, most impressive player on the day
Tori Brillaud, Central Catholic - good basketball IQ, sets solid screens, sees the floor and moves the ball very well
Brooke Brown, Manchester West - physical post who used body well
Kendall Burton, Newton South - athletic slasher who also shot it with range
Savannah Butterfield,Londonderry - long, athletic shot blocker who played hard on both ends. Very physical and a finisher
Liz Cruso, Westerley - good handle, able to drive and dish as well as get to the rim and finish. Strong shooter, solid help defender & constantly communicating on the floor
Katie Cullerot, John Stark - tremendous shooter and also showed an ability to get it inside and finish
Nicole DeMarchena, Amherst - athletic shot blocker who worked extremely hard on the defensive end. Offensively, she knocked down jumpers from 15 feet in.
Elizabeth Diggins, Norwell - long post who was mixed it up down low for put backs and to get rebounds in traffic
Amber Dillon, Brookline - good shot with range on her jumper, saw floor very well with a good handle & was impressive defender.
Taylor Flood, Sanford, - also an aggressive defender who plays extremely hard and get to the lane offensively
Hannah Foley, Acton-Boxboro - athletic, moves well without the ball, showed burst of scoring off drives and an ability to get out in transition and finish
Julie Frankian, Millbury - drove it extremely well, took the body and finished.
Ariana Fredo, Marblehead - slasher who was able display an array of dribble moves and beat second defenders
Stephanie Garofoli, Green's Farm Academy - displayed a number of good post moves, powered to the rim, good shooter, and strong post defender
Ashley Gendron, Manchester Memorial - solid overall player who did all the little things well
Kristen Hrubowchak, Campbell - good rebounder for hersize, quick player who ran the floor very well and can finish in traffic. Tremendous shooter
Shayla Hubbard, Laconia - strong defender, played hard on both ends of the floor, quick and can finish
Briana Hunt, Newton North - great handle, solid 3 pt shooter, quick first step, sees floor extremely well, good passer and creator
Sam Irvine, Franklin - lefty post who has solid moves and worked hard to get position, good passer, smart player, gets out in transition and finished
Kelsey Johnson, Old Rochester - pushed the balll hard in transition, capable of driving it hard in either direction, & good shooter
Daisy Jordan, Beaver Country Day - strong presence inside, rebounds well in traffic, had a number of putbacks and hustled after every loose ball
Nadja Kern, Waltham - solid wing who drove it hard and look to create for others, good scorer and impressive all around defender
Lauren Kriete, St Mary Admy - Bay View - pesky defender who was able to get her hands on a ton of balls
Cara Manfredi, Glatonsbury - quick pt guard who is equally adept at creating for others and scoring from the outside with deep range
Emily Martin, Trinity - gets solid position in post, went hard to the goal and good finisher around the rim
Molly McGaughlin, Westwood - quick point guard who did a good job creating for others in spots where they could be effective
Abbie McNomee, Norwich Free Academy - good shooter with range
Britni Mikulanecz, Deering - played hard on both ends, good rebounder for guard, strong help defender, good communicator, pushed and created well for others
Catherine Oglevee, Dover Sherborne - worked hard on both ends of the floor, good basketball iq and can score it
Danisha Parks, Durfee - displayed a number of post moves, intiates a ton of contact, can score inside against one or two defenders
Kate Parsons, Hampden - good shooter who rebounds well from the wing, not afraid to mix it up and has solid defensive presence
Amy Pelletier, Bishop Fenwick - all around player who has the ability to score from inside and out
Ally Pemberton, Weston - defended very well and was able to get to the rim
Lauren Perra, Taunton - quick point guard who understands angles and attacks to create.
Catherine Pinone, Glastonbury - had some very impressive post moves and jumper 15 feet and in. sets solid screens, held her post position very well, and is good rebounder
Kaitlyn Pryor, Northbridge - went strong to the goal both in transition and the half court. Good finisher and shooter
Adrianna Pulford, Groton - solid defender, made a number of steals on the day, displayed good strong moves to the basket & rebounds well for size
Sarah Raftery, NW Reg #7 - solid defender who can play a multitude of positions
Tafanie Roye, Capital Prep (2010) - great handle, team player, tough, consistently looked for open man & quick hands on the defense
Megan Shaw, Franklin - solid 3 pt shooter
Katie Sousa, Hopkinton - hard working lunch pale type player who has a good iq and distributed the ball well
Leigha Tacey, Foxboro - athletic post who plays well in space, had a number of putbacks, gets good post position and able to finish
Jasmine Theroux, Trinity - slasher who went strong to the rim and does not mind contact
Courtney Williams - quick point who made some eye catching passes on the day.
Katelyn Wright, Lincoln Subury - solid ball handler and good all around passer
Deryn Zahoruiko, Amesbury - worked extremely hard on both, plays with a ton of energy, made a number of steals on the day
