Pelletier commits to Stonehill
Amy Pelletier, of Bishop Fenwick High School, has verbally committed to Stonehill College as part of the 2011 incoming class. She will formally commit this fall. Amy has been a standout player at Fenwick posting some impressive numbers; as a junior she was scoring 15.3ppg, 6apg, 4.4 rpg, 4 steals and an excellent 48% shooting percentage from beyond the arc. Amy capped off last season by setting a school record, hitting 8 three-pointers in Fenwick’s win over Ipswich in the quarterfinals of the state tournament.
Pelletier is described as the rock of her Fenwick team; she is a natural point guard with the ability to score. With her college commitment out of the way, Amy will be able to focus on her team as she has been named co-captain with fellow senior Erin Botticelli. The team has set their sites on a state championship.
