New England Recruiting Report

New Hampton Prep boasts a tremendously talented core group of players who are hungry to take their team to even greater level in NEPSAC this year...

New Hampton Prep Coach Darren Redman’s team may be best characterized by their incredible work ethic and veterans who bring a high level of experience. They return all but one player off a team that went to the Class A semifinal last year.

Back is leading scorer senior Victoria Wiseman, 6’0 who is a strong interior presence with her physical style. She has worked hard in the offseason to develop her outside game and projects as a solid four man at the next level. She has also worked to get herself in great shape and will unquestionably provide solid leadership.

Junior, Brittany Gallagher is a premier playmaker who brings both an ability to get this team out in transition in a hurry as well as effectively run the show in the half court. She brings grit and a hardnosed lunch pail mentality that may very well characterize this team.

Two sport athlete Vanessa Campbell  5’11, is a four year player whose role has expanded each year.  She has good instincts and can really shoot it

Louisville, Kentucky native Justyne Sublett 5’8, is a combo guard who possesses nice abilities on both ends with her quick feet and tenacious defensive style. She can also fill it from the outside with terrific range.

Two sophomores who are experienced beyond their years with the amount of playing time they garnered last year;

Sam Brenner  6’2, has solid abilities around the basket and with the work she has put in this summer to improve her footwork and ability to finish, she will be relied upon on both ends of the floor to make significant contributions.

Isatu Bah  5’10, is a slasher with gifted athletic ability.  She can not only jump out of the gym to finish, she is a tenacious ball hawking defender.

Post Grad Mariah Wynn 5’10 brings an ability to score in a variety of ways with her athleticism. She can also rebound and defend out her wing position with the best of them.

This team’s biggest weapon, however, may be their versatility a direct result of their incredible athleticism. This coupled with their resolve may be the very reason they end up back in the hunt for the Class A title again this year.
